5a7 in Ottawa on the 11

Jennifer Bell

Laura Wesley is organizing a 5a7 in Ottawa on Open Source, Open Data, and Open Government next Wednesday, Feb. 11.  I'll be giving a little talk to kick things off.  It may be a good chance to finally meet some of you in Ottawa.  If you're interested in attending, please RSVP on Facebook here:

For the record, Laura has a pretty amazing blog here:

Forgive my ignorance... what the heck is a 5a7?

Cheers,
Cory.

unless you're in France.  In which case it means that you're visiting
your lover after work and before you go home for dinner.

(thought it was a worthwhile clarification)

Funny.  I'd forgotten that I hadn't heard the term 5a7 until I got to Montreal.

For those of you who wanted to go to this event, but couldn't make it, I've put the slides up on slideshare here:

http://www.slideshare.net/jenniferbell/benefits-of-open-government-data

It closely follows the OSBR paper on benefits of open government data, (already mentioned on this group) here:
