Hey gang;
Seems like folks on the list do not have any particular attachment or
relationship to the wiki. That is fine, however, we do need some sort
of public face.
For example, i was approached today by a not so tech savvy national
organization that can do some advocacy on behalf of community groups who
want access to census data. There is a real place here for members of
civicaccess to work with this group to help them formulate a campaign
that speaks to their needs and their communities. It is however
difficult for them to embrace civicaccess as the only public face we
have at the moment is a hacked wiki and this list.
I would luv to have and esthetically pleasing collaborative public web
presence for civicaccess that will entice people to want to join us,
that will inform people about what we do, a place we can send
journalists to, and a place for us to showcase work that is ongoing.
Also, these was alot of hours of good research put into the content of
the wiki that i think the public can benefit from and I personally would
luv help to retrieve it.
1. I would luv to work with a couple of people to give us a web presence.
2. I would luv to retrieve the content from the list
3. I would luv to hear your ideas
Cheers
Tracey
