Just a quick introduction (at Michael's prompting). Looks like many
familiar names on this list -- but for those who are new, here's that
thing I send to conferences:
Phillip is the "Simplifier of Technology" at Community Bandwidth, a
Canadian consulting practice that works with non-profits to explore
the thoughtful use of technology toward creating a more just and
sustainable society. In that role, he works with leading social
justice and community organizations to examine the ways Internet
technology can build online relationships, support community
engagement, facilitate group collaboration, and create successful
online campaigns.
In his spare time, Phillip is a passionate volunteer and activist,
working as a teacher-adviser with a computer literacy centre, the
photo editor of a national literary journal, the volunteer
coordinator of the monthly Social Tech Brewing events in Toronto
(
http://socialtechbrewing.org), and as a convener for the annual Web
of Change conference (
http://webofchange.org).
Look forward to liberating some civic data! ;-)
