It's interesting how both CrimeReports.com and SpotCrime.com are
managing to get so many buy-ins to their product/service.

Police here in Toronto told me there was no point in sharing their data
with SpotCrime.com since all Toronto Crime data are open to the public
through their web page. See: http://www.torontopolice.on.ca/statistics/ 
. Of course all you get is some php formatted HTML, with no data that
can actually be extracted or downloaded from it for analysis.
