So yesterday was a really great meeting.  Daniel H, Jennifer, Robin,
Hugh, Catherine, Ilona (from Apathy is Boring), David Mason, Olivier
and I were there.  There was a lot of energy, interest and
determination to organize something.

Before the meeting even happened, Olivier had taken some (only kinda
audacious) steps to reserve space for a potential conference in May.
It would be on a friday and we're exploring the idea of a more
hacker-oriented barcamp on the saturday.  Ilona thinks that AisB might
be able to help out with promotional materials and more importantly,
getting some funding.

We're going to meet to start organizing for that in the beginning of November.

We don't want to wait until the spring to do something, so we're going
to try to put together a 5-7 at someplace like the SAT in early
winter.  The goal would be to widen the circle of people talking about
these issues.

To work together on coordinating these events we've set up a public
mailing list.  Feel free to join if you want to lend a hand.  We'll
share updates back up with this mailing list as things become more
concrete.
