Yes, and what's cool about that is that it's coming from someone inside the UK parliament. Tom Steinberg of mySociety has done an amazing job so far of building bridges in the public sector. I talked to him at a conference in June, and he said a good number of his projects were made possible through govt. funding.
As an aside, I'm shopping around a 'sponsorship opportunities' proposal for VisibleGovernment.ca that includes sponsoring a similar contest. VisibleGovernment.ca would do all the organization, etc.
If you can think of any organizations (or potential private donors) I should be sending it to, let me know.
