Not canadian but could be?  We have the best Radarsat data in the world
and have done some great work in the past with tracking down toxic bins
floating around in flood zones using radar.  Radar is the only remote
sensing technique that will cut through rain, fog, and cloud cover thus
ideal during tropical storms, or for rainforest imagery.

The funding mechanism was also very interesting.
