Citizens ask for access to public data

This is a very cool tool. I have had to look at property assessment
data at the City of Ottawa when I was doing research on money
laundering in Canada from Sarawak Malayasia. It consisted of me first
spending close to $1500 in searchers in the property registry in the
Provincial dbase, getting the property #, then going to the counter at
the City office, searching through the big paper books at the counter.
Residents are not allowed to look at the assessments online and can
only do so in person at a counter during business hours. Silliness.
