obama more cautious

Hugh McGuire-2
call off the celebrations, obama's http://change.gov/ has been totally
gutted. nothing left there except platitudes. ah well.

the technology platform is "not found", see:
http://change.gov/agenda/technology/

probably politically wise to be more cautious with promises, but...

I hear he is going to appoint a technology tsar (a CTO or Chief Technology
Officer) as part of his cabinet who will be looking into many aspects of
technology, government, net neutrality, etc.

I would not be looking for too much at the change.gov site until that person
is in place.

For more background see:

Re: obama more cautious

Carmen Kazakoff Lane
If you check the links, it does not appear on the Change.gov site, but the
Barackobama.com site.  I suspect the stuff here, has yet to be migrated to
the Change.Gov site.

The Barack Obama site does have a policy Document
http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/issues/technology/Fact_Sheet_Innovation_and_T
echnology.pdf

So it is likely a matter of time before all the stuff is migrated.

Cheers,

Carmen Kazakoff-Lane
