cancan (Canadian Candidates) & CivicAccessCamp?

Robin Millette
Hi,

Michael prodded me a bit expecting I share more info on my tiny new project on this years federal elections.

I've been tweaking it some more until just 10 minutes ago, so have a look again:
http://cancan.waglo.com/

Basically, it provides an inteface to a bit of data I've come upon for as many candidates, parties and districts as I could.

That includes links to wikipedia pages, ibelieveinopen, ourparliament (yay!), the official parliament website, etc.

Not sure what else to say... I'm 100% willing to share my db of course. Other than that, I have to run to drupalcamp right about now ;)

Speaking of which, isn't it time we have ourselves a CivicAccessCamp of some kind? I'm thinking in 1 or 2 months, no further because "il faut battre son frère quand il est chaud" (you know it's funny, but in all seriousness, I'd love to sit down with a bunch of the participants here and many more we don't hear from a lot otherwise).

Good idea!  One to two months out seems like a good timeframe.  I'd also be happy to help organize.

Another person to invite:

I think a camp would be excellent.  There are some other really interesting people in Ottawa, The GreenParty Web folks, OpenConcept, some of the gosling folks.
