The International Open Data Charter's mission is to increase the adoption and implementation of common open data principles, standards and good practices across sectors around the world. It consists of six key principles, which have been adopted by 18 governments since its launch in October at UN and Open Government Partnership meetings.

The next phase of this work is to put the charter into practice, by making those principles specific to different sectors. The first "sector package" is on anti-corruption. The Charter is seeking a consultant to act as its coordinating author.
