When archivists get radical - see agents provocateurs statements and thought papers!

Tracey P. Lauriault
Even the nice archivists and librarians in Canada are under fire!  shesh!

Dear Archival Colleagues,

Vision 2017 The Future of the Canadian Archival Community: The Canadian Archives Summit: Conclusions, Observations and Possible Next Steps, a report written by Sean Berrigan, Marianne McLean, and Jan Michaels, for the Canadian Archives Summit Organizing Committee is now available in French and English on the Summit site under the heading "Summit Resources" at: http://archivists.ca/content/canadian-archives-summit

Please note that the Summit organizers are sharing the report with the broader archives community to continue dialogue initiated during the Summit. The report is not approved by the Summit organizers and should not be treated as such. It is meant to encourage ongoing discussions.

We are very grateful to Sean, Marianne, and Jan for their tremendous work on this report. We also thank Library and Archives Canada for translating the report into French. We hope that the report stimulates discussion on the future of the Canadian archival community.

Best Regards,
Loryl MacDonald
Chair, Canadian Archives Summit Organizing Committee
