The site is the brainchild of entrepreneurs Marcus Robinson and Kate
Jaggar, who wanted to create a “more socially relevant and
stimulating social networking site” which would address the apathy
of young voters. They claim that research shows that the 16 to 34 year
old age group regularly vote in their millions on TV talent shows and
yet remain impassive when it comes to politics, with less than half
registered to vote at the upcoming General Election.
