Device shifting content is like color shifting socks. What DDM was
suggesting is that if a manufacturer/retailer puts a tag on a pair of
socks, then dying socks becomes illegal. This is far worse than the
warnings on the mattress tags people worry so much about :-)
How much extra should it cost to be authorized to make sock puppets
anyway? Just how much protectionism does the sock lobby deserve, and
how far will the uber-socialist party currently in power go to appease them?
Sorry, but I have no sympathy for the arguments for restrictions on
time/device/colour/etc of lawfully acquired products or content in the
privacy of our homes. The government has no business in the bedrooms of
the nation.
