This has nothing to do with open-data!
Just some silly hazard reporting tool (I make a better one at www.nimonik.ca) Anyways. On 2012-04-26, at 9:17 AM, Tracey P. Lauriault wrote: http://www.digitaljournal.com/pr/680271 |
I think the idea of health and safety data being reported is a good one, and reporting incidents especially good. The idea of unions or health and safety organizations tracking incidents is also be good. This app may not be a good one, but such and app might be really useful. Also, are those kinds of data reported publicly?
Does Nimonik do that? If so great! Can you point it out? Cheers

We do reports on environmental fines (http://www.nimonik.ca/2012/03/open-data-and-environmental-health-safety-compliance/ http://www.nimonik.ca/2012/03/environmental-enforcement-data-in-canada/) and we help companies manage their Health and Safety risks.
I know the BC safety association publishes data, but no one does a great job at it.
The app in question is fine, but the real goal should be to government publish fines and incidents for all companies so potential employees can better evaluate job safety and companies have more incentive to stay safe and green. Cheers, On 2012-04-26, at 6:30 PM, Tracey P. Lauriault wrote:
