I think the next big open data discussion, after the metadata and interoperability issues are more thoroughly investigated will be data aggregation. If you have data, and release micro data could cause a privacy breach, then governments will have to decide how they will aggregate data and we will have to be a part of that discussion if we want to see meaningful geographies at reasonable levels of aggregation:
