Releasing the potential of freedom of information - Making the
transition from Version 1.0 to Version 2.0

What:           The Information Commissioner of Canada, M. Robert Marleau,
invites you to meet M. Rick Snell, Senior Lecturer in
Law at the
                University of Tasmania, Australia

When:           Wednesday, November 26, 2008
                From 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Where:          Office of Information Commissioner
                112 Kent, 22nd floor Boardroom
                Ottawa

Freedom of information needs to be aligned with its surrounding
environments. Mr. Snell will talk about the emergence of a new generation of
access to information legislation that is adapted to a digital environment.
This is a great opportunity to hear about the recent work done in Australia
towards the design and implementation of a new 2.0 version of access to
information law.
