Re: CivicAccess-discuss Digest, Vol 84, Issue 9

Claire Woodside
The government of Canada has published 'ideas' for the upcoming OGP Action
Plan. See
http://data.gc.ca/eng/consultations/activities-discussion-action-plan-20-dis
cussions.

The government is currently looking for feedback on the 'ideas.'  From my
perspective, the 'ideas' are quite vague and thus it is a bit difficult to
provide substantive feedback. I am hopeful that this does not constitute a
'draft' OGP action plan and that we can still look forward to providing
comments on an upcoming draft.  I was also disappointed to see that there is
no clear explanation  of why certain 'ideas' have not been included and/or
whether this is the final list of proposed activities.

Cheers,

Claire

as we loose expertise in house, and downgrade the ability of the house, then
we need to outsource!

https://www.wantedanalytics.com/

Wanted Analytics was apparently the company that Finance outsourced to on
the KiJijii debacle.  Would be good to know the data analytics firms
lobbying schedules and to see if there is a co-relation between the
cancelation of the census, cancelation of post to the door, cancellation of
surveys, and decreasing evidence based decision making and muzzling of
scientists and an increase in private sector analytical contracting!

Re: CivicAccess-discuss Digest, Vol 84, Issue 9

Harvey Low
How about giving us some data on the actual list of real Federal info we need for service planning that I provided to them so long ago as they requested (eg. CIHI, HFIS etc)? People are making an industry out of ideas, frameworks, and wordy commitments.

Subject: [CivicAccess-discuss] Less data by gov more outsourcing by
    gov!

as we loose expertise in house, and downgrade the ability of the house, then
we need to outsource!

https://www.wantedanalytics.com/

Wanted Analytics was apparently the company that Finance outsourced to on
the KiJijii debacle.  Would be good to know the data analytics firms
lobbying schedules and to see if there is a co-relation between the
cancelation of the census, cancelation of post to the door, cancellation of
surveys, and decreasing evidence based decision making and muzzling of
scientists and an increase in private sector analytical contracting!
