Hey Gang!  You will see Montreal, Rapliq, 511.ca, Open North, DLI, the CU Map Library, Geogratis, GeoBase and a bunch of my other favourites mentioned in the slides.  And if you want to see a really great narrative style, my two Irish Colleagues are fantastic.  Peter Mooney in particular provides open data as baking a cake which had us hungry for cake and data !

After this video, I was asked to write it up into a paper, and you can see the abstract here.  It is great to have another context to compare to, and even though we may get grumpy from time to time by the speed of progress, we are doing pretty well in Canada in relative terms, even though we still have so much work to do still.  I think it is a good thing to do a geneology from time to time.
