Hello everyone! I rarely contribute to the Civicaccess Listserv, but I do try to pay attention :-)
The reason for my submission is two fold:
1) I wanted to let you all know about a cross-country motorcycle tour where I will be visiting 17 Canadian Cities and introducing Open Government & Open Data to Canadians who would otherwise have no reason to hear about it. Its purpose is to bring a city’s OpenGov community, public servants, technologists, and citizens into one room where they can begin working together.
… It is also being designed in the spirit of Open Gov/Data. I like to say the tour is an Open Source Project that takes Civic Engagement and turns it into a Rock Concert.

2) I am also asking for your help in finding “City Champions” for the Tour. People who can help with some of the basic logistics (e.g. booking a venue), but City Champions are also more than welcomed to dive right in and act as a voice for the Tour in their city (there can be more than one City Champion per city).
