OKF Budget Data - Index

Tracey P. Lauriault
Hey Gang and James;

I am working on the Canada portion of the OKF Index.  The criteria for this category is as follows:

Budgets or planned government expenditure for the upcoming year, and not the actual expenditure and the following minimum criteria must be met:

  • Planned budget divided by government department and sub-department
  • Updated once a year.
  • The budget should include descriptions regarding the different budget sections.
This dataset looks like it might fit the category.  I am surprised we missed it last year!  Main Estimates 2014-15 http://open.canada.ca/data/en/dataset/1471933c-e90f-4ae7-9982-b5dded553b1f

What do you think?

This is how the budget is currently disseminated, in its glorious tory blue, but it does not fit the criteria at all. http://www.budget.gc.ca/2015/home-accueil-eng.html

Cheers
t
