Hello all,

Greetings from Potsdam, Germany, where I am visiting Patrick Baudisch and colleagues at the Hasso Plattner Institute.

As part of a new research project on civic engagement, back in Seattle we've been working on a project called Living Voters Guide.  This is an opportunity for citizens to deliberate with each other in the process of producing a quality voters guide -- as an early experiment in crowdsourcing civic intelligence, it is going remarkably well.  We invite you to try it out, share it with your networks of friends and colleagues (including journalists, bloggers and editors) who may be interested in using and sharing this as well.

The guide itself is at http://www.livingvotersguide.org, and an overall project description is at http://dub.washington.edu/projects/engage

  cheers,
  Alan
