JeVeuxSavoir and Infothon in Montréal Nov 30th

Stéphane Guidoin

Dear fellows,

Few weeks ago, we (Open North) launched JeVeuxSavoir.org (http://jeveuxsavoir.org), an ATI web portal for some Quebec Ministries (currently as a pilot project with financial support from the minister in charge of Democratic Institutions and civic engagement, hopefully after the pilot we could list all the organizations covered by the ATI law). JVS runs with Alaveteli, the same open source software developed for WhatDoTheyKnow. Unfortunately it is only in French because we had some issues with the "internationalization" of Alaveteli.

In order to promote JeVeuxSavoir and the overall access to information, we are also organizing an Infothon  (http://www.eventbrite.com/e/billets-infothon-jeveuxsavoir-9284906405) in Montréal on Nov 30th, to explain how the ATI law work, what are the limitations and also to write and send to requests (either directly or via JVS).

If by chance some of you are in Montréal on Nov 30th, you are more than welcome! :) else, anybody can you JeVeuxSavoir and send some requests.

Cheers,

Stéphane
