This document contains decision making criteria for public officials about how data access decisions are to be made and how decisions should be made available to the public. It reviews international best practices and guides as well as guides in Canada.
Geospatial data types covered are primarily environmental, but information about archeological, cultural, infrastructural, security data is also provided. Access decision making trees are something we may want to consider asking open data cities, provinces and the Feds to disclose, and/or develop. Funny, the license for the document points to their _data_ license:

:) your favourite!
Starting at page 22, the Principles are outlined and there is a great decision making tree on page 27 for those of you preferring getting to the point! Again while these are specific to some types of sensitive but 'non national security' data, the principles and the decision tree can be re-purposed in many other contexts such as a city, etc. On Tue, Oct 2, 2012 at 5:11 PM, Glen Newton <[hidden email]> wrote: Funny, the license for the document points to their _data_ license: -- Tracey P.
