I believe that those who are opposed to the mandatory long form
census being canceled are many orders of magnitude greater than those
who were concerned with the fact it was mandatory (IE: the alleged
justification for the cancellation).
I also believe that the total of both of these groups still
represents a tiny sliver of Canadian society, and most simply don't
care and are too disengaged from politics to have given it a thought.
Then again, I might just be being cynical from Canada's recent
presidential election...
