well well said, Tracey. the greens want open government in the
traditional sense, re: Arthur Siegel in COMMUNICATIONS AND POLITICS:
CANADA'S CAUTIOUS STEPS TOWARD OPEN GOVERNMENT. if greens are
listening, they should be encouraged to not chicken out by asking for
open data when what they mean is something more historically
contentious. by doing so they're taking chances with the dev of real,
internationally respected open data policy in Canada that is now
starting to formalize.
