Government: Data and Records Management

Tracey P. Lauriault
As a few government datasets trickle into our federal open data portal, millions of aboriginal residential school data are mismanaged, lost, or just plain not made available due to bureaucratic apathy combined with the decimation of our knowledge institution, archives.  Also, often this is the responsibility of government libraries which are being shut down and the records section of government institutions which are hard to find.

You'd think there was some sort of records management system in place!  Nope! The South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission and a similar process in East Timor could do it, why can't we for our aboriginal Truth and Reconciliation Commission?
