I didn't see this on the list yet. We knew about it a couple of weeks
ago but the city just published info on it today.
The city is following up on it's promise to create a permanent
official space (a standing group) where civil society and other public
stakeholders (dev community, institutions) can dialogue directly with
the city. There will be 12 members, 6 from the city (elected officials
and bureaucrats) and 6 from the outside.
Pretty freakin awesome. :) Go Montreal!
If you're in Montreal, you should come to the meeting. It's next
Wednesday. And the civic members are going to be chosen by a popular
vote.
