Hope you had a fantastic weekend. My name is Amanda and I’m a Communications Specialist with the Ontario government. After reading a few articles on Data Libre, I wanted to reach out since we made an announcement today that’s right up your
alley.
This afternoon, we launched the Open Government initiative at Ryerson’s Digital Media Zone:

We’re eager to hear what you think about the initiative overall, as well as its datasets, feedback processes, and tools.
We’ve got an expert panel of representatives helping us improve our work in public engagement, consultations, and information-sharing, too.
In the near future, we’ll open up data sets on subjects like:

Gridlock
·
Student achievement
·
Wait times
We’re
conducting a survey currently to learn more about what the Ontario public thinks about ‘open government’ and what it means, and soon we’ll be opening up the data sets for voting to prioritize the data publishing.
