Canada announced its Digital Canada 150 document today, which likely will have some implications for the geoweb

It's an easy read, mostly infographics and links. The strategy is mostly about extending broadband--remember Canada's a massive country--and about monetizing open data. The document's content on expanding culture, for those of you not in Canada, speaks to our federal government's eagerness to teach Canadians about our patriotism in historic wars (Canada has an odd relationship to patriotism that has no analog in the US).
