Fwd: Alberta Education's Digital Citizenship Policy Development Guide

I was just digging around on the new Alberta open data portal (whatever, we all spend our days off in different ways) and I came across this report. If I was in Alberta - and if I wasn't preoccupied with the aftermath of the flooding - I would be raising a stink about this report. There's some sensible stuff in it that is useful for teachers, but the slant is "Citizenship means being good boys and girls and digital citizenship also means don't fileshare". Bah.

That was kind of depressing overview of a group of experts think kids need to learn in school around tech. Especially their definition of digital citizenship (page 6 - their numbering). Bad taste in my mouth.
