File Format Guidelines for Preservation and Long-term Access - Library and Archives Canada

Tracey P. Lauriault
For those of you working on file formats for open data cities or on other open data projects in Canada, Library and Archives Canada has just released the following.

Often those suitable for long term preservation of data are also suitable for open data projects and are open source.  I am sure that if there are some preservation formats that have been tested and are missing in this registry, they would be willing to hear about them.  They would need some documentation to support claims of course.
