Subject: [open-government] Open government in Quebec

The province of Quebec in Canada released its report on Web 2.0 and open
government, the Gautrin Report

Gouverner ensemble : Comment le Web 2.0 améliorera-t-il les services aux
citoyens? (PDF, 207 pages, 3,55 Mo)
http://www.mce.gouv.qc.ca/publications/rapport-gautrin-web-2-2012-03-06.pdf

I'm far from an expert translator, but I blogged my brief translation of the
32 recommendations

http://scilib.typepad.com/science_library_pad/2012/05/government-of-quebec-o
pen-data-and-open-government-the-gautrin-report.html

The open data site from the province should be coming next month (June
2012), there is a placeholder for the moment

http://donnees.gouv.qc.ca/

This makes the second Canadian province with an open data site, the first
was British Columbia at http://data.gov.bc.ca/

Gerry Tychon-2
Michael ...

Thanks very much for posting that info.

For some reason the blog link didn't work for me but the slightly truncated URL

http://scilib.typepad.com/science_library_pad/2012/05/

did work.

Thanks again ... gerry tychon
