Hi everyone

More than 50 governments are gathering this week in Brasilia to pledge high standards of transparency, accountability and participation at the first annual meeting of the Open Government Partnership. This event represents a major benchmark in an international movement to make government everywhere more responsive and responsible to citizens.

Rob Cronin from the Beyond Access campaign is at the meeting and sent this blog entry about the role that public libraries other public community points of access can play as part of any genuine open government plan. it. Beyond access have also put out a policy brief which you can find here:
