Thanks for the link, Karl!

I'm always bothered by sentenses like "Open Data Strategy for Europe [...] is expected to deliver a €40 billion boost to the EU's economy each year." Focus on economic value. UK gov has the same approach. It's not that it will not have a positive impact. But a large part of the economic gains will be pervasive or will be inefficencies that are removed. That quite difficult to evaluate.

Then what occurs if the multi-billion boost does not occur? Will they cut the programs?

Anyway, more than the open data portal, I see investment in technologies (€100 million grants). That's maybe something missing here.

    Ne pas attendre les institutions. Il y a deux
    actions à mener en parallèle en tant que citoyen.
    Pousser à des politiques ouvertes de publication de
    données, mais également créer des bases de données
    ouvertes.
