For those that can make it to an event in Ottawa on March 30th,
CIPPIC and the Creative Law Society at the University of Ottawa will
be hosting a Creative Commons Salon on the theme of Open Data. We
have a great line-up of speakers (a lot of whom will be familiar to
those on this list) and it should be an really interesting event.
When: March 30th, 1-5pm (with a reception
afterwards) We also highly encourage the data providers out there to come: we
will be facilitating a roundtable discussion for data providers to
discuss compatibility issues between the licenses of different
data portals. It'll provide an opportunity to talk about how
governments can make their own data portals compatible with this
international standard, and about the possibilities for adopting
Creative Commons licenses. The full schedule is available at http://www.cippic.ca/en/cc-salon. Kent |
Sounds like a great event. Suggest we can post the outcomes of the session on the CCSD-OGP site?
