CODI Update

Just wanted to follow up on my earlier posts about the Canadian Open Data Institute (CODI) and provide you with a bit of an update:

 

·         Using feedback from the community, we have refined our vision and strategy and we have launched our new site http://opendatainstitute.ca

·         We’ve also become a part of the UK ODI global network as a level 2 node; you can read details on  our blog update 

·         Here are a couple of projects we are starting to work on: http://opendatainstitute.ca/projects/

·         As we’re a volunteer non-profit, if you have any interest in getting involved do send us a note and let us know  http://opendatainstitute.ca/get-involved/

Well, I just got about a dozen emails from Jury across every open data mailing list.

Anyway, you might want to add this to your resources page: http://opennorth.ca/community/ I still fail to understand why the OKFN-CA list takes precedence over CivicAccess on the CODI resources page. CivicAccess is older, has more subscribers (237 versus 68), hosts more discussions, etc.

I look forward to seeing the outcomes of your projects.

Thanks James. We've added the link you provided, swapped the order of the lists (though there was no intention to signal rank) and added the subscriber numbers. 

We'll be in touch soon regarding a couple of those projects, as discussed.
