Apparently Canada had two representatives:
Mr. Richard DICERNI, Deputy Minister, Industry Canada
Ms. Jennifer STODDART, Privacy Commissioner
http://www.oecd.org/document/41/0,3343,en_21571361_38415463_40368681_1_1_1_1,00.html

I hope they'll be working to change some of Canada's policies.

Colour me unimpressed.

"Make public sector information and content, including scientific data, and works of cultural heritage more widely accessible in digital format."

Seems like pretty weak stuff.  'more widely available' could mean anything.  I prefer the open government data charter, here:
http://wiki.opengovdata.org/index.php/OpenDataPrinciples

By the way, I'm looking for people to help organize egovcamp-like events in  Ottawa and Toronto.  Please let me know if you're interested.

Also, I have a blog post up about a re-designed government services website I saw at Personal Democracy Forum in New York.  I think it looks hot, for a government web page:

Yes i understand you unimpressedness, however in the context of the UK which has the most regressive cost recovery policies in europe, and has unfortunately led many nations in its direction over the years, this is absolutely ground breaking.

It is worth looking at the historical evolution of this and not just the one point in time!

Cheers

Another great move from Britain: a 20K pound bounty for designing online tools for public information mashups.

How do we get this sort of thing going in Canada?
