Books on data costing & access policies

Tracey P. Lauriault
I thought you all might like the book references Gerhard (Content Research <[hidden email]>) sent in relation to the ATIP request.  Then I found a couple of other goodies on the shelf beside the one's Gerhard recommended .

A. Longhorn, R. & Blakemore, M. Re-visiting the Valuing and Pricing of Digital Geographic Information. Journal of Digital Information. 2004;4:1-27. http://journals.tdl.org/jodi/article/view/103

Roger A. Longhorn and Michael Blakemore, 2008, B. Geographic Information: Value, Pricing, Production, and Consumption, Boca Raton: CRC Press, Taylor and Francis Group.

Xavier Lopez, 1998, The Dissemination of Spatial Data: A North American-European Comparative Study on the Impact of Government Information Policy. London:Ablex Publishing.

Bastian Van Loenen, 2006, Developing Geographic Information Infrastructures: The Role of Information Policies, Delft:OTB Research Institute For Housing, Urban and Mobility Studies.
    • this book has great sections on data access, dissemination and designing infrastructures from a dataset perspective, and many case studies.
