Apologies to Brazilians.....

I was speaking at a conference (World Social Sciences Forum 2013) in
Montreal yesterday, and one of  the speakers on my panel -- a Canadian
-- interrupted answering a question after learning the questioner was
Brazilian to apologise to that person for the spying by Canada on her
country (our topic had nothing to do with spying or espionage).
I was both proud and embarrassed.
 Sigh.

Because really, everyone is spying on everyone. Canada just happened to get caught this time.

 

Wouldn't surprise me at all if we learn there are Brazilian moles in Bombardier, Rio Tinto Alcan, Barrick...
